Sustainable flooring through rigorous standards
As we are committed to going beyond regulatory requirements, we have obtained ambitious certifications and product labels in the development and production of sustainable flooring.
Durability of floor coverings, reduction of pollutant emissions, sustainable development: our certifications reward our efforts over the medium and long term. Our production methods also contribute to the obtaining and maintaining of certifications. These include EPDs, HPDs, EDSs, FloorScore® and more. Gerflor flooring is also fully compliant with European REACH regulations, and our cleanroom solutions are Phthalate-Free.
FloorScore® Certified Flooring
Gerflor flooring products are independently tested and FloorScore® certified, verifying compliance with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Standard Method v1.2 (Section 01350) for low chemical emissions. This certification confirms that our materials meet stringent thresholds for total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) and individual chemical emissions, including formaldehyde and other regulated compounds. By achieving FloorScore® certification, our products are fully VOC‑compliant for use in high‑performance buildings and qualify for indoor air quality credits under LEED, WELL, CHPS, and BREEAM.
AIA Materials Pledge
